nice little bar in rustic design.more than a 100 beers, and some rare. they even have the first underground draft-line straight from the factory. best of all is the brewery is just 5min away and can be visited. also the place is so relaxed you can choose how long you stay. there is also the bauhaus hostel near it where you... It's like you died and woke up in Beer Heaven . Rudy Vossen, the owner. Helpful, knowledgeable and a great person. The beer selection is vast, but would recommend some of De Bierboom's house beers because they are delicious! You can either pick up and go or sit down, talk beer and taste some of what the store has to... More

I'm not telling you anything. It's a secret. It's just a beer store. Nothing else to see or enjoy. You may think differently, but I refuse to share how cheap it is or how welcoming everyone was. If I do this, it will become too popular!

We visited De Bierboom to have a glass of Rudy's own beer and buy some beers to bring back to England. We ended up spending an hour an a half having a couple of lovely beers and chatting to Rudy who took great pride is showing me his beer collection and discussing brewing methods and giving me advice about my... We went here on the strength of other reviews and we weren't disappointed. We ended up chatting to a group of American and Belgium beer lovers and tried some of the best rated beers (Westvieteren 12). We learned about the trappists and the differences in the beers from across the country. The owner brews some himself and showed us how... More

Have been here a few times now and always receive a very friendly reception from Rudy and his family. The shop is ideally located - away from the tourist hordes in and around The Burg and Markt - on a fairly quiet street leading out of the old town centre. It's easily reached on foot - as are most attractions... More

My partner and I went for a cycle around Bruges and stumbled across this lovely shop. We went to buy a beer and spent an hour sat with the owners (lovely couple) - who were so welcoming and informative. It's a great afternoon drinking spot.

A paradise of unique and rare Belgian beers , you won't find in the supermarket. The beers are at the front , with seating at the rear, just choo se your beers and take a seat. If your in a group ask for sampling glasses and share the bottles. A large selection are 2.50 so great value. Look out for... More

We were strolling along looking for a place to have a coffee at around 10.30am. This place looked rather interesting and went in for that coffee and started talking to the owner about beer - he is really friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee was great and locals were drinking beer early in the morning. He had beers from round the... More

Came across this place whilst looking for another drinking hole. How do I explain this place, a little untidy but plenty of character. It sells beer to take away at the front of the shop and a small seating area and bar at the rear. Rudi the owner gave us a great welcome and had a great wealth of knowledge... More
