Beguineage, a Benedictine nunnery in the middle of Bruges. So tranquil and relaxing. I do not have any photographs as I felt it inappropriate. I did feel like telling other travellers my feelings as they took photographs and made so much noise. So very rude...More

This place has an interesting history and was a very pleasant place to walk through. Please respect the traditions of the active convent and be quiet, it makes the spirit of the place shine ever brighter.

I think this would be a nice place to spend some time in a sunny day. There isn't really that much to see but it does feels very quaint.

lovely quiet place for contemplation away from touristy Brugges Centre. Privileged to witness a service amongst the nuns who sang beautifully.

First time I ever heard of beguinage. The place is located near the canal and looks like an old Carmel with little houses and a church. Really interesting to think that it is still hosting women today.
