Bruges is a beautiful welcoming city but is very busy with tourists and that is reflected in its prices, particularly for the horse drawn carriage tours. The tour costs 50 euros (July 2017). We knew that in advance but had decided to do it anyway....More

Just imagine... The clop, clop of horses' hooves on cobblestone streets ... transportation in medieval Bruges. The ride is touristy, but lots of fun. And the horses seemed to be well-cared-for, with a ten-minute break half-way through the 30 minute ride. By no means necessary,...More

Probably not the best time to do this in the summer because iT is very crowdy and the tour just takes 30 minutes for 50 euro plus tip for the driver. The driver comments on the things you see around you but the noise around...More

€50 for 30 minutes. Horses stink and are overworked and I never saw them once get water. My advice.....take a boat tour!!

On a whim we decided to take the carriage ride around Bruges. 3 of us climbed on board and we trotted off. Even though we have walked around here for 10 days, our horse and driver had us gallop along streets that we had never...More

It was a lovely way to see the town. The guide was very informative with a pleasant manner. The horse, Albert, was absolutely gorgeous. We stopped for 5 minutes at the monastery to have a quick look round too, which was nice. A thoroughly enjoyable...More

The reviews from others say it all, but I would comment on one or two things. The horses and carriages belong to a Company, not the individual drivers, who are simply wage earners. The drivers however do appear to care for the horses, and they...More
