It is possible to climb to the top of one windmill which gives you a perfect panoramic view of Bruges - would highly recommend doing this. It actually provides a free and much nicer and more peaceful view in comparison with the belfry!

We had planned a visit here. Then we discovered our walking tour ended up here but we still returned the next day as it was just that nice. Don't think it is worth the money to climb up into the windmill though.

Going into the windmill was a highlight of our trip to Bruges. It was so much more interesting than you'd expect! Lovely relaxing walk and lots of windmills to see - very accessible. Don't come to Bruges without doing this part!

if you walk along the Canal - rather early in the morning or later in the evening - you can enjoy some peace and quiet, see windmills (two of the 4 mills along the way are open to the public, entrance fee about 3 Euros),...More

It is worth the while walking along the canal and see all these windmills. The view here is fantastic, especially at sunset.

This is a pretty and nice area to walk. The wind mills were quite nice to see. I'm not sure if it would have been better to be able to go up in them (probably not) but if you're not impressed by the first one...More

Beautiful walk around the windmills !! You can climb in one for 3 euros !! A lot of fun, highly recommend! But when you read that it is a 15 minute walk from the center of Bruges......not true more like 40 minute walk !!

I was very happy with this place and would return again. It's not a highly visited place, so there aren't many crowds around, but it is one of the last 4, I think, standing , old windmills in Bruges. The one to the side of...More

I couldn't decide whether to rate this as Average or Above Average - it's probably a bit below the middle between the two. As others have mentioned, it is a nice walk, and it is scenic seeing the three windmills along the canal. You can...More

15 minutes walk from the center, here you can find peace and quiet places to sit and relax. Just close to old windmills and with an excellent view on the towers of the city. So beautiful!

The walk can be as long as you want it to be, it all depends how long you want to spend at the various venues along the way. We just allowed a morning to enjoy it and when in the centre you can deviate off and then... More
