Everything you need to know about frietjes and then some. I think from an informative point of view, there is lots of reading material available. You can really learn lots about the old and new ways of how they made frietjes in Belgium. It's a walk through history... Therefore I can see why people think this can become a rather... More

Good quirky museum. Starts quite seriously with the history of potatoes (apparently they made you randy - who knew?) and then launches into a technicolour celebration of all things Friet. Where else can you see the first chip in space (though the UK will take it higher - at least if I have my way), or pretend to serve chips?... More

This was a combo ticket with the Chocolate Museum. It was a cute place with tons of info about potatoes. Great for kids, which we are not. It is the only Friet Museum in the world and definitely worth the combo ticket price. It's a quick trip with delicious fries at the end of the tour, for a small price.... More

This is a strange one. If you love fries, this is for you. This was an interesting find and we learnt about the history of Fries. We wouldn't normally have visited, but we bought a combination ticket (Choco story, Frite Museum & Lantern Museum). The fries at the end were great!

This museum is just a bit of fun really. It's quirky and enjoyable. There's lots of information, as you take the journey from the first cultivated potato all the way through to chips! It's a very laid back, casual museum, but definitely worth a visit if you have some spare time. On entry you get some money off friets in... More

I love potatoes so it might be a biased review. This museum literally takes you through the history of potatoes and how they become fries. Lots of fun picture opportunities and a chance to by some Belgian frites downstairs (they were okay.) The fact that someone took the time to compile facts about potatoes and frites brought my heart joy!

Maybe not the finest of Brugge's many museums but if you have little time to pass it's worth a visit. You can learn all about the fascinating story of potato fries. You'll be amazed. A bit.
