We come into Ghent via this railway station and left and overall was very happy with it. There is some construction but they have plenty of signs to help you get around.

Big station building with nice architecture. Station is big but not too busy. Best way to get around other cities of Belgium from here.

The train station is rather pretty. The main entrance hall has beautiful paintings on the wall and on the ceiling. The train station is fairly far from the main sites, but you can easily get to them by taking the tram. I wouldn’t recommend walking,...More

Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station is the place, where you will most probably arrive or change station. The railway station building is huge. It would have been nicer to build it on the place of Dampoort, since it is closer to the city center.

The station is kind of on the edge of town, but the trams (& buses) from just outside will take you easily to any part of the city. Buy a multi-trip ticket - you can use it on most buses & trams all over Belgium....More

Easily accessable via tram from the main part of Ghent (from where we stayed, near Sint-Michiels, we took the 2 tram - about 10-15 min). We were in Ghent for almost a week and I did a few days trips, so naturally got pretty familiar...More

Went through this station on the way back from Bruges. Very busy and congested. Since it isn't that large it's fairly easy to find what you're looking for or where to go.

The station is big and busy but not super crowded. The signage is pretty clear, even for an English speaker like me.

An easy station to get to from Brussels. Nice architecture. It is a must to visit and look up at the main station entrance.

Good station, easy to navigate around with services all over Belgium and beyond. Platforms are starting to show their age and the station is scheduled for an upgrade

Yes, you will be able to transfer in that time. The platforms are connected by a single subway and are very well signposted.

There are signs in the station directing passengers to the taxi rank. We found the cost to be reasonable. Tram is also a cheaper option.
