Right in the city center, you will find the cathedral, which is surrounded by houses in a very special way, like in Medieval times. Since they are refurbishing the exterior, I only can tell about the interior, which is magnificent. One must admire the painted...More

Even though it's currently being renovated, a visit to this majestic old church is still worth the effort. Visiting the church itself is free, but it's worth paying the five-euro fee to see the Treasury as well.

Well, that thing is huge! When you are near just take the time and have a look inside. It is quiet and definitely worth a couple of pictures, even if you don't believe in god. Plus for boys: At the right hand side next to...More

The Cathedral is well maintained (and it was being refurbished from outside when we visited it on July 31). Beautiful stained glass windows, a gallery, a stunning sculpture of John The Baptist, organ etc. If you happen to be in Liege, dear stop by.

This cathedral replaced the City's original cathedral, torn down during the French Revolution, in 1803. A bit dark inside, despite many newer stained glass windows. Definite highlight is the Treasury, where many pieces of Church history now belong to the population of Liege.

The cathedral is nice and well built, but vey dirty. Not conserved at all, it even get lost in the middle of the other buildings.

It's free to get in, but you can pay to see the treasure. The outside was almost covered in scaffolding. Inside there is some excellent stained glass both old and modern

A restful place in the centre of Liege, with a graceful high nave full of light. Exterior under scaffolding so hard to observe.

Interesting ceiling and some lovely stained glass windows, a mixture of old and modern. We didn't get to see the treasury but I believe it's worth seeing. There was a lot of scaffolding on the outside when we went. We were there for a very...More

Some of the original windows were destroyed in WW1, so now there are some interesting modern windows in part of the church. The process of selecting the new windows was very interesting and worth learning. Another feature we enjoyed was the painted ceilings. Very nice...More
