This gothic church is definitely the highlight of the city. Especially the beautiful pulpit deserves so much.

Specious church with beautiful interior, you can also see it’s other rooms and make a full route through the building, besides the garden

I came here with a group of friends. We all loved exploring the cathedral itself and then discovered the treasure room tour! It was super well organized (regarding Covid) and it felt clean and safe. There were so many amazing things to look at and learn about. Make use of the audio! So many interesting facts about the items and reliquaries. It was such a nice time and we loved this little museum. Definitely worth a stop!

Sadly there are façade restauration works going on at the moment (July 2020) so I could not see much, pretty much only the side which I am posting here is possible to be seen.

I love thia cathedral and how they put more modern looking stained glass inside it. When the sun is shinning through it, it looks like heaven. Worth a visit. They have a photo gallery in the hallway which is nice too.

This church is a simple church, like many of them in the region. The roof is really pretty, but the roof of the Sint Jacobus a bit further down the road is even better. Check out the amazing sculpture of Satan at the back of the preaching stand!

This cathedral is one of the more beautiful churches of Liege.
Although the outside is in scafholdings, the inside is certainly worth visiting.
The building is larger than just the church. The monastery corridor had a free photography exposition.
We didn't visit the tresory.
Some of the ancient stained glass windows were replaced by modern versions.
The original catheral of st Lambert was much bigger, but was distroyed by the people of Liege in the 18th century. In the 19th century this church got the tower of the old cathedral and some other elements too.

Liège Cathedral, also known as St. Paul's Cathedral, is a church with a history dating back to the 10th century. Although the current building only dates back to the 13th century. Like many cathedrals dating from this period, the church is a nice example of Gothic architecture. Some of the most outstanding features of the building include the highly ornate altarpiece of the abbey chapel, the classical Greek inspired Baroque sculpture of St John the Baptist, the ribbed vault of the nave, with its golden ribs and its vaults coated and painted with rinceaux common to French Gothic styles. The cathedral also has the usual collection of beautiful stained glass windows, some which have very contemporary designs that complement the more traditional ones.
A very unusual feature of the cathedral is the pulpit. There’s a sculpture of Lucifer at the back of the pulpit.
Sadly, the cathedral is currently undergoing renovation, so much of the facade is hidden under scaffolding. The church is still a must visit in Liege.
