The place itself is stunning, well maintained, well designed, the forest and the waterfalls were amazing. Nevertheless, I do not recommend this place to wild life lovers. It's basically a zoo, and not even a good one, the only free range animals were the hummingbirds,...More

The animal section and the gardens are well tended. It is a good introduction to the animals one might see in the jungle as well as those which are rarely seen such as the pumas, etc... It is lovely to see the butterflies flying around...More

It’s all been said in the reviews up to now...but I’ll just say that walking the La Paz waterfall trails is like walking the set of a $200MM blockbuster movie! But it’s all real! I couldn’t keep the grin off my face or my gaping...More

We were on a tour and they choose this place. Definitely worth the tour of the property and then on to the waterfalls. Very educational and enjoyable. Plan to spend time with Mother Nature and her waterfalls.

Sorry for not answering sooner-just saw your post. No, you are not allowed to swim in any of the waterfall pools or streams but if you are lodging at the "peace lodge" they have a pool you can use for swimming.

Depends what time of year you go. We went late April/early May and it was relatively dry. Costa Rica is essentially a rain forest, lol that pretty much says it all.
