Prachtig plein met het monument voor Leopold II. Plaveisel afgewisseld met parkjes. Nu is de jaarlijkse kermis er neergestreken maar dat geeft wel een beeld van levendigheid. Je moet er wel van houden!

Bezoeken kun je dit plein eigenlijk niet

Het is een plein met stenen zonder meer. Een oude stenen muur die terug moet doen denken aan de oude legerkazerne staat er plompverloren. De terrastjes van enkele cafés zijn een lichtpunt. In een hoekje staat het standbeeld van Leopold 2 met enige duiding

Groot plein

Het is een groot plein met aan de ene kant het monument van Leopold II en aan de andere kant een restant van de oude gevangenismuur.
Op het plein is een trap naar de parking ( werk gevaarlijk want als je het niet weet, rijdt je er zo in)

gewoon een groot plein

Het is gewoon een groot plein, maar bij ons bezoek was er een marktje, dat is wel gezellig. We genoten er wel van een terrasje. Het plein zelf zei ons niet echt iets.

Grootste evenementenplein in Hasselt. Wekelijkse markt op di en vrij voormiddag. Kermis in september, Winterland in december enz Gezellige terrasjes aan de overkant, uitgangsbuurt van de lokale jeugd

Op het plein worden regelmatig evenementen georganiseerd. Zo wordt tweemaal per week, op dinsdag en vrijdag, de markt georganiseerd en is er elke zaterdag een antiek- en rommelmarkt. Elk jaar in september is er Hasselt kermis op het Kolonel Dusartplein. Elke winter wordt een winterdorp (Winterland) met schaatspiste aangelegd. Sportmanifestaties krijgen hun begin of einde aan het plein (onder meer Dwars door Hasselt). Om de zeven jaar vindt hier ook de Virga Jesseommegang plaats.
