Not a comic book fan but obviously aware of the Smurfs, Astrix and Tin Tin and all and a lot more are covered here over two decent sized floors. Lots to look at from drawings to full colour images and covers. Lots to read as well. Also figures and models on display. Not heard of a lot of these comic... More

We visited with 5 children aged between 1-8 and everyone had a great time. We started with a family friendly lunch in the cafe and then moved into the museum. It started with figures including TinTin and comic strips on the walls. The children enjoyed the comic shows in the theatre and the interactive displays (there could be more of... More

Slightly pricey but if you like art, then it's good value. Spent about an hour. Appreciate how cartoons and comics came about. Lots of photographic opportunities. Close to city centre.

First of all, it is important to not that the museum is mostly Belgian with a strong emphasis on Tintin. We were disappointed not to see more diversity in the displays and very little pedagogical sense to the museum layout and works presented. There are many nice originals but unless you know what to look for it gets repetitive. It... More

There was a massive queue to get in, only one till and the woman didn't seem confident to operate it. The museum is really just for adults and teenagers which was a disappointment. I was hoping it would have appeal for younger children but even the Smurfs area wasn't very interactive. She loves the Smurfs so we had been excited... More

A great museum which covers all aspects of BD (comic-book) art. Great shop, too. The building itself is as interesting as its contents.

A lot of reading, but also a lot of watching and reading actual comic strips. As an english speaker it was a shame I couldn't understand the comic strips myself, but the english descriptions made up for it. Very good for families and solo travellers, not so much for couples. As a person who likes doing creative writing, I got... More

Easy to follow exhibitions even if you're not interested in comics, great to learn about the history and how it relates to Belgium. Great stuff about the Smurfs and Tin Tin.
