My No 1 place for "after-dinner" drinks with work colleagues and friends. The "brown bar" feel and the efficient service always comes out a winner! Also suitable for extended discussions over a couple (or more!) of beers as the place is cosy with Belgian old school charm. Not to be missed!

One of the lain attractions in Brussels in my eyes. Old fashioned café that is worth the visit! Dream away in this particular historical centre.

A great place for a pint of beer or a glass of wine in the after work hours. Visited La Mort Subite while being in Brussels for a work trip and loved the quiet yet cozy vibe of the place. The staff is really friendly and if you have the chance to sit by the window you'd instantly feel as... More

An excellent pub in the heart of Brussels in Jugendstil/Art Nouveau style. A great ambiance, amiable service. I had s small dish (salad) with bread (good quality) and some lovely beers.

We came here just especially for the drinks. The building itself has very nice interior decorations and design so it was a perfect place to sit down, relax and enjoy a pint (or two) of local Belgian beer as well as the calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Pop in at 4pm local time for the quiet before the storm! Massively popular and so it should be. Recommend the pressed head sandwich and the Judas...

I came back as I knew this was a bar and beer lovers paradise, as I first came on a Tuesday when recent events in Brussels really did dampen spirits for a while. Today is a Thursday a few months on at the end of another business trip and it's bouncing, and the staff are as friendly and helpful as... More

I went to the place because of its old interior and just had a drink there. Don't expect something posh, but the place had conserved its design from 1928 and it's apparently a family run business. The menu is pretty Belgian dishes based, they also have a broad variety of beers, which I find to be more expensive than in... More

lovely to sit and take in the surroundings but treat it for what it is, a tourist attraction. Staff were friendly enough. As with most places in Brussels, if you are not into beer, you might struggle a bit to find a decent glas of wine or other.

I visit this place every time I visit Brussels and what I like the most is that it has this local feel that makes me be relaxed and comfortable. Don't expect fancy dishes but all plates I've tried are nice to accompany a beer. Good selection of drinks and even though the service can be a bit grumpy it is... More
