Dominating the Sablon Square in the center of Brussels, this church was transformed from a chapel into a major gothic church starting in 1436 through the beginning of the 16th century, and truly exemplifies the Brabantine gothic style of architecture.

Went to antique market that is held here on Saturdays, but mainly silver, china and jewelry so decided to go into the chuch. Great stained glass and an ornate pulpit and organ.

This church is definitely worth a visit as it has gorgeous stained glass windows and also a beautifully carved wooden pulpit (see the pictures I have attached).

Stunning gothic vitraux and a lovely ambience. Frequently associated with musicians playing organ and singing. A lovely location just to sit and marvel at the beauty of this building or listen to the relatively new organ (2011-13) when it is played.

The most striking cathedral I have seen. The gothic architecture it incredible, especially the monocromed alters. The cathedral is well located near a beautiful park and local cafes you can admire the architecture from. A must see for Brussels tourists.

The church is similar to other large Brussels cathedrals, and lovely. Don't forget to check out the beautiful garden across the street. I wish we had more parks/gardens like this in the States.

Have you been to Paris? If not, you can visit the newer Notre Dame in white and better constructed in the newer style. Take a tour around this place and click lots of pictures behind the cathedral!
