Great taste of Brussels culture

It was pretty small but it was cheap and all the exhibits they did have were good quality. If you have a short time in Brussels it is a nice crash course on the history.

The top floor caught my attention the most, they had a tapestry restoration office, where one could peak in and watch professionals at work.

Nice building with lots of beautiful things to see. Seems disorganized and the exhibitions don't flow from one to another. The explanations of the pieces are too short, only available in French and Flemish, some cards with other languages are also available by the walls but with short explanations like I mentioned before. Don't bring a backpack unless you are... More

If you only have a short time in Brussels like I did (just one day) I think that you'll enjoy stopping by this museum just to experience some of the local history and culture. While most of the exhibits are in French you can opt to get an audio guide in English (others should be available as well). I spent... More

A little museum on the main market square in the centre of Brussels. I went at the beginning of February 2017, normally the museum cost € 8.00 luckily it was free when we went. You don't need to long at this museum it took us just over an hour to see all items on display over the 4 floors. The... More

Grand Place ( Grote Markt ) is in my opinion Belgiums superb best looking square as the architecture here is outstanding. In a square packed with some amazing buildings including Town Hall,Guildhouses and Breadhouse the Museum of the city of Brussels looks fabulous. On this visit to Brussels I didn't have the time to go to the museum but I... More

I went here since I wanted to learn more about the history of the city, and was disappointed. This museum is not as large as you would think from looking at the outside or from the topic. I was also hoping the descriptions would include English, as they do in almost every other museum I had been to (in Brussels... More

it`s very beautiful building outside! but i wouldn`t say that museum is really interesting( unfortunately they don`t have information in english (it`s typical for Brussel) and in the time of my visit the room with suits for Manneken Pis was closed...
