Be careful. The place is very dirty and almost never cleaned thoroughly. Drunk people are always spending the whole day on the steps of the building. The pedestrian street in front of it is mainly populated by weird and lewd people. And it gets worst in the evening.

The Bourse is definitely a treasure with its gorgeous neoclassical facade, friezes and sculpture, some of which are Rodin's early work. It's also a popular gathering place with people sitting on the front steps to watch the world go by or listen to street musicians that sometimes perform on the corner. We stayed at the Marriott Grand Place right across... More

We cam across this this during our walking tour. Its a huge building with quite some history. Our tour guide mentioned that this building was no longer used as a Stock Exchange and will be converted into a beer museum in the future. ;-)

Not open the day we visited but the outside of this huge structure is impressive from all sides. Be sure to add it into your city tour.

A great place to soak up the atmosphere and have a beer or a nice dinner which is less touristy than grand place.

This is in the middle of a massive place. Quite easy to reach by Metro as the station is just opposite to the Borse. Now that the share trading etc are done online, there is no trading activity inside, but the government has preserved the building and the architecture. Normally some exhibitions are organized here. The city scape from here... More

Second visit to Brussels. First time was right after the terrorist bombing. Very sad and the Course served the city a a place to mourn. Six months later on a business trip the Bourse was the center of the Christmas Markets. Perhaps an example of the strength of the Belgium people.

The Bourse hosts some expositions, but otherwise you cannot really go inside and visit the building. Worn out exterior, dirty front steps (there's a MacDonalds restaurant in front of them, thus a place to eat your take-out), and common place for drug-and-alcohol related activities.

I enjoyed the Steve McCurry photo exhibition at the Bourse. The audio tour enhanced the experience a lot. I don't know how representative it was of the building's activities as a whole, but it was well worth the price of admission.

I went to see here the expo of Steve Mc Curry. I was so amazed!!! What a nice collection of pictures and what a great stories behind the photographs!! You can visit it till the end of june 2017!! It's a must do when you are in Brussels!! The stairs before the building is a meeting point.
