Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Contrasted opinions about this vintage flea market. The structure is majestic, combining steel, brick and glass. An obelisk in its center. On the other hand, the merchants were noticeably absent during my visit in the middle of the afternoon, which is a shame.

If you're in Brussels, do visit the Vintage Market! It's a good place to find old vintage stuff. I got pendants and old vintage rings for my mom which she loved and small box to put jewelry! They have got old cassettes and old branded clothes as well. But only thing is, some stuff is expensive and you have to check.

My teenage daughter wanted to see this market which is on the first Sunday of every month in the Halles Saint Géry classic building.
The best parking is in one of the many local car parks as street parking in the area is down to luck (all parking is pay). You can then walk to the market with ease as it's very centrally placed. The streets around are also cordoned off so that you can walk safely round outside plus visit the local cafe's and restaurants.
There a mix of stalls outside around the building offering different things from posters, records, clothing and accessories. Inside it's the same with the jewelry stalls upstairs. It's best to do a quick wander round the ground floor then head up stairs for the same. After this you can then revisit the stalls you have spotted something and then trye it on and start to talk money with the stall holders.
We didn't buy anything inside but we did see people haggling with the sellers to get a better price, but I can't say if this works. There is a Dj inside plus a small cafe area, but it can be quiet noisy so we opted for one of the cafes outside. It's not a huge group of stalls but there is plenty to see and the quality and variety is quiet high.
One key note, it's very busy most times and you have to squeeze through the crowds so if you don't like this then I'd choose your moment to visit to find a quieter time. Also note that we saw at least one pick-pocket trying to find a suitable target, luckily he saw us watching and left quickly when I pretended to take his photo, so keep your pockets zipped up and your bags closed. You will also have to use cash so ensure you have enough with you as we didn't see too many cash machines nearby (but there are some a few streets away).
Overall it was an experience and we may go again...
