There was lots of pedestrian traffic at the St. Anna's Tunnel / Pedestrians Tunnel in both directions so it felt safe to walk. The bicycles stuck to the middle so you do have to watch for them they did not seem to have bells, I...More

This tunnel is easily accessible on both side if the bank. If yiy come from the town hall, just head towards the river and make a left turn. Look for a boring looking and old industrial looking building with cyclists emerging (see attached pix). A...More

Just keep walking. It is full of bicycle riders and can be quite hair raising of a walk as they speed by you. A unique experience.

This is a very historic tunnel that is worth the walk under the river. The wooden escalator is in amazing condition. On the other side you get a good view of Antwerp.

This art deco walking tunnel under de Schelde river is worth a visit. I always enjoyed the architecture of this place on my visits to the left bank.

A true marvel of engineering . The tunnel is underwater and joins the old town of Antwerpen to Linkerover . Its restricted to pedestrians and cyclists. The escalators are wooden ones and immaculately maintained. The lift is pretty spacious too and allows cycles . It...More

This underground tunnel allows you to walk between Antwerp and The Netherlands. It's reached by a pair of beautiful antique escalators. There is an exhibit explaining its construction history, which was interesting. It was beautifully lit up for Pride weekend when we visited. You can...More
