It's interesting to walk around of square, just spending time in bars or restaurants, just enjoy the architecture. There is a City Hall also.

Excellent great market place with fine Renaissance buildings, cafes, and a famous jazz club. Not to be missed. Allow most of an hour or more.

Wortwhile to visit if you like old buildings and good food. You can combone it with a visit to the diamond museum on walking distance and a river view. The Cathedral is also nearby.

Beautiful architecture and great shopping. There is also an orange umbrella walking tour that meets there that is free. 3 hours.

Unfortunately, the Grote Markt was under renovation when we visited. A shame because it looked to be a beautiful square.

Open square that is surrounded by restaurants, the cathedral, museums and shops offering all sort of goods. Great fountain in the middle of the square adds to the charm!
