This is why this city reminds me of Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney. There is a natural beach added to an already great city, wow! When you are tired of the crowds in the inner city. Within 15 minutes you can be at...More

The Promenade is a fabulous place to stroll. So much to see and so much going on. There's a Carousel, a fellow with Australian birds on perches which you pay to have a photograph taken. Numerous places to purchase food, fish and chips etc. Plenty...More

Great natural beauty populated with cheap, cheezy tented restaurants of poor quality and worse service, bad drinks. Dirty chairs, filthy beach with food and broken bottles in sand. Other parts of North Sea fabulous...not this area.

We went in thE morning and it was a very nice day - not many people around. Beach is very nice and the walkway along the beach area is wide - lots of restaurants.

Always worth a stroll along the promenade, the beach bars and the pier. A wide, long beach. Busting with life all the time, simply very "gezellig" as the dutch say, what means convivial, sociable.

The pier has been opened again after it was closed for a year. The old owner didn't want to invest more money in maintaining the pier. Turns out, it has been the best thing happening to the pier in years! There are now many little...More
