Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lijnbaan is a major and popular shopping street in downtown Rotterdam. Full of familiar international brands and fast food places, it is the place for endless shopping. The thing lacking is perhaps a bit of character.

We have been to the Lijnbaan many times for shopping, eating or just people-watching. Many high-end stores like Hudson Bay scattered in with more moderately priced shops as well many food choices from fast food to mid-priced eateries. I have read that the area has a rich history but it was destroyed with the bombing of WWII. Having been totally rebuilt it is totally car-free with benches, fountains and wide promanades. This is a must-see shopping destination in Rotterdam.

It’s a typical pedestrian shopping street with many different brands and food places (including fast food chains). At the beginning of Lijnbaan you can also find some food trucks with Dutch snacks (not sure if they are there on a daily basis though). I think everyone can find there something for themselves. The area around the theatre is nice with benches to relax and water fountain. Nice if you have some spare time but not necessary to go especially to see it.

A pleasure to go shopping around the Lijnbaan. A compact area with covered walkways along the sides of the shops. Its been there for years but is very up to date. Lots of shops and choices at many price levels. Lots of recognisable brands.
Strolling around is a pleasure. Plus a huge Heijn supermarket and many choices for food, coffee and drinks. Worth a visit whether you are a shopaholic or not.

If you'd like to shop, for high street brands, you'll find them all in one place here. It's a pleasant shopping area.

The Lijnbaan is a Rotterdam shopping street with a rich history. The street has been modernized and there are quite a few nice shops. Not all plain highstreet names, but local shopkeepers. Some empty lots as well unfortunately.

Full of restaurants, bars, movie theatre and shops selling clothes and different products. Nothing unique unless your finding place to shop

Lijnbaan is a pedestrian area. Great variety of stores: local and chains. Many good outdoor cafes. Lots to see and do.

Memorable for two reasons - this was my second visit; the first being in 1961 !
And memorable as well because it is almost the centre of town with some great shopping choices bother there and nearby. Good place to stroll since it is a pedestrian precinct and a good place to think about eating because of the many choices.
And then along the nearby main street - Coolsingel there are several old and memorable buildings, the Stadthuis, the old Post Office buildin gand the old Bourse building.
A great location to wander and explore.

All of the things you are searching for can be found here. I was looking for a leather jacket and I came across a shop opposite one the Mcd and the guy there was very nice, he allowed me to take my time to find the right jacket I was looking for. There was also this awesome poffertjes and churros stall in the middle of the street which was pretty delicious too.
