Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Veerhaven is an historic harbour area of the City of Rotterdam, not destroyed during WW2. Very scenic and lively with lots of businesses and restaurants in the historic houses. Great views also of the river New Maas and the Erasmusbridge.

I really like this part of Rotterdam. It was completely missed by the WWII bombings so all the original architecture still stands here. There are some wonderful neo-renaissance and art-deco style buildings that you would not expect to find in Rotterdam. Also, there are some good cafes and restaurants here. Be sure not to miss the "Westelijk Handelsterrein" which combines a quality dinner with a 'rough' harbour atmosphere. Veerhaven is an excellent place to spend an evening.

One of the few areas with still areas that were not bombed durin the second ww. The harbour is very typical and nicely light by nicght. Some colourful events are organized at the water. Make sure you dont miss them. Worth your while. Are around is very nice to walk around. The choice of reaturants is really good. Lovely view of Kop van zuid.. I call it the Manhattan of Rotterdam.

This still is and hopefully will always remain a truly beautiful part of the city. The skyscrapers that gradually rise on the other side of the river only enhance its unique character.

A collection of old boats and other dockside paraphernalia all on view for free, but unfortunately no dual language descriptions.

The Veerhaven is a beautiful historic harbour near the Erasmus Bridge which is definitely worth a visit. It houses beautiful old historic harbour houses, the Wereldmuseum and some nice restaurants and cafés. From this harbour you can see the modern architecture of the Wilhelminapier in the background. A very nice combination of old and new.

This is a historic small boat yard (yep you can buy one here too ! and very beautifully historic buildings, and you should see the great office space available in some of them...so very nice...my last few hours here I briskly walked all the way around....and saw some special person car convoy go by with motorcycle cops, on those skinny streets, watching a scout car pull a u turn...and seeing "my ship hotel" across the water was neat too...

We were lucky enough to be staying in this neighborhood so we had a lovely walk home every evening and a beautiful view from our high-rise. There are a few nice restaurants and some interesting old boats to see. Close to the Maritime Museum and the center of the city

Among dozens of modern buildings and skyscrapers, you will find this small, very cute harbor, with its colored little boats. It is really a nice place and it is in the center of the town, so very easy to find.

Visited Veerhaven on the penultimate day of a recent visit to Rotterdam with my wife and wow it's gorgeous! There's beautifully maintained green spaces, splendid architecture, fantastic views of the waterways and a number of fabulous eateries. For me it was the pinnacle of our 5 day visit to Rotterdam and I cannot stress how much you should visit this area.
