Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum has an interesting collection of expressionist paintings. We particularly liked Armando's paintings on the top floor. However, the museum is quite small (our visit lasted around 30 minutes), so I recommend to combine it with another museum nearby, especially if you have the Museumkaart as we do.

This is a very small museum that has paintings and sculptures by the Dutch artist Chabot along with several of his contemporaries. Located in the museum district it is worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

An intimate art experience, some exquisite pieces beautifully curated. Captures a moment in art history that weaves in seamlessly with the significance of the surrounding museums, specifically the Sonneveld House and the Bauhaus collection at the Boijmans (only available until May 26, 2019). The Chabot sculptures and Kandinsky paintings were particular highlights.

Not only is this an interesting museum about the Dutch painter Henk Chabot but it also focusses on Expressionism. A very important time in art history. The museum is also part of one of the park villas which are worth inspecting closely. Architecture in a modern form!

Different museum than traditional . Same area where other museums are located. Dedicated to single Artist Chabot. If you have museum pass ( You must get one) you can spend about 1 hour here.

The architecture of this building is great. It has been extended (putting on an extra floor) in the same style so well that you won't be able to see that. The art programming is varying in attractiveness. Some hit and misses. A tip: keep part of the museum with main colorful work of Henk Chabot himself as a fixed part of the displayed artwork as an anchor for visitors and to honor Henk himself.

What a total waste of time. The collection is very small and hardly interesting. We really had expected to see and learn at least a little more about bauhaus. We had to pay €2 per person on top of the standard admission (we used our Museum Jaarkaart), but couldn't understand what we paid for. It felt like a rip-off and to top it all off, the staff were quite unfriendly. Best to avoid this place altogether and visit the adjacent and fantastic Huis Sonneveld instead.

A museum in such a beautiful building you would want to be able to work or live in.
Situated in the museum quarter of Rotterdam. Nice Bauhaus exhibition together with a.o. te world famous Van Nelle factory. Interesting movie of the realisation of this Van Nelle factory in the basement of the museum.

Another hidden gem. We passed by and popped in. The architecture is wonderful. Wished I could live in a house like that! If only. The museum shows (some) of the work of Henk Chabot. Paintings and sculptures. I liked!
