It's a nice part of town with old buildings, it's got a few bars and restaurants. It's under a 2 mile walk to central station so not that far and there shops and bars along the way.

Saw this part of Rotterdam as part of a hop-on hop-off tour with the classic tram Line 10. Had not been there in 50 years and it hadn't changed much. Lovely old part of Rotterdam, very pittoresque.

In strong contrast to the modern and avant garde architecture, Delfshaven is a piece of preserved Dutch history. There are some nice beer places you can chill next to the canal. Be warned that while the houses are cute and fun to look at, the...More

Delfshaven is the old city centre Rotterdam is said not to have. Picturesque, cosy with nice bars and restaurants.

Perfect for an afternoon stroll away from the crowded streets of Rotterdam. It is a long walk (about 45 minutes) from central Rotterdam, but you can catch a tram. Interesting to visit the church where the Pilgrims prayed before heading to USA, and you can...More

The port lecturer on our cruise ship talked about Delfshaven and how it was worth a visit to that part of the city to see the old architecture. She said there were many galleries and cafes in the area. We decided to walk from the...More
