My companion and I were the only people on the tour so we had very personal attention from a friendly and knowledgeable guide who made us feel welcome and gave us a great tour.

May not be as fancy as Royal Delft, but it's just as interesting and not as commercial. A nice walk from the Markt, don't bother with the tram.
