This museum, situated in an abandoned school building in "Wijk C" in Utrecht, confronts us with the life of poor people, living together in a closely knit neighbourhood, the "Volksbuurt". "Volksbuurten" could be found in almost every urbanization. Contrary to the people living in a...More

This might seem like a strange place for a foreigner/English-speaker to visit - but I had someone with me who could translate/explain everything to me, so no worries there. I have to say, I really enjoyed the museum and the tour. The cafe/museum is located...More

Very quaint little museum about the people living in Utrecht from 1700-1970. I live in Utrecht and learned a lot of nice little facts. Takes about 2 hours.
