Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Neude is a famous and often crowded square in Utrecht. Centrally located and surrounded by several unique buildings and (especcially during summer) crowded with people. Although crowded, I wouldn't say the best pubs are on Neude square. Service and food are often poor and pricy.
I would recommend looking in 'de Voorstraat' or just around the corner 'de Ganzenmarkt'.

Simply gorgeous with Utrecht being one of my favorite places to (hang out) so to speak. I love the vibrant bustle of the square's welcoming atmosphere. Great alfresco dining, the most difficult thing is choosing where to eat, there's something to suit all tastes. Definitely the place to enjoy taking the time out,

An unattractive square it has very little going for it other than a convenient bus stop for the delightful side streets leading off the square. Don't eat at the restaurants in this area!

thee is always something to do, or something to see. It's location is perfect, to go any way you want in Utrecht. It's close to all the markets, restaurants (for breakfast, lunch and diner), close to the main shopping street (don't forget to visite the 'Voorstraat' for some of the finest "smaller" shops). Public transport to the Central station is perfect (also on walking distance). A definitely must see, once you're in Utrecht.

The Neude is basically a square in Utrecht, Holland. Traffic runs along three sides of it, so you need to watch out a bit... and don't forget the bicycles! However, most people approach it from the other side - the closed side - as they arrive from walking along the canal or after viewing the Dom tower.
That closed side is one continuous row of bars/restaurants. I've been to several and they are all of a high standard. The food is good and the prices are quite alright. They're open late as bars as well and can get crowded. Fun places to hang out.
In the summer, they set up terraces all over the square. It's a sight to see.
Depending on what's on, the square can also be used for extra activities. There are booths there during the film festival. It also hosts free outdoor concerts during the summer. If there is a big, international football match on - and Holland is playing - then they set up big screen so people can congregate there. You'd need to check local guides when you're in town if anything extra is on.
It's also an area that is packed on King's Day (April) and New Year's Eve.
Worth checking out if you're visiting Utrecht and you're already in the centre.
