What a wonderful museum. Such a shame the museum will close its doors on 15-6-2017. There are not enough sponsors to keep it going. Run by volunteers this is a little gem. Nice aboriginal art collection. If you hava chance go and see before it's...More

This unique museum, the only aborigional art museum in Europe, has to close down in June 2017. I am very sorry for the staff. So if in Utrecht visit this experience before it is to late.

Well presented - with lots of information and a couple of great 'context' films. Beautiful art works - nice to see them on a global display. Great exhibition on mapping Australia at present - raises good questions about colonialism and indigenous rights.

We very much liked this museum and the enthusiastic staff member welcoming us and explaining about what we were about to see. It is a pity that not more exhibits have English text with them (now predominantly Dutch). That should be fixed!

We loved it. It's a first of its kind in the Netherlands (and in Europe I believe), bringing contemporary Aboriginal Art to the attention of the wider public. The museum also has an educational functioning, informing of the different Aboriginal groups living in different parts...More

This museum gave me a new appreciation for Australian Aboriginal art. It is quite different from European art, and the museum does a good job at helping visitors understand the different worldview and perspective. I would definitely recommend watching the introductory video (Dutch with English...More

This museum is quite small, but has an interesting collection. If you're in the area and you have an extra half hour to 45 minutes with nothing to do, this museum is a good time filler. Unless you have a strong interest in aboriginal art,...More

This is a nice museum for adults but not for children. The collection exists of paintings mainly, and is not interactive for children

I try to visit a different experience when I visit a place and not the usual Natural History Museum or Ethnography Museum. Therefore I was pleased to find this museum outside its own country. As you enter, you pay your fee just inside which is...More
