There are several pretty and bustling squares in Amersfoort, this one hold the market (Saturday) usual cheese, fish, fruit and vegetables and other goods. Also has open eating restaurants and bars.

Yes, this is the centre of Amersfoort. A big square with all the restaurants, cafe, shops around it. Enough terraces to sit on. There is a market on Saturday. You can't miss it if you walk in Amersfoort.

This square is packed with restaurants, tables and chairs. It is the busiest part of the old city but it really only starts up around lunch and gets busier as the day progresses.

Great central place to go for a drink or food after a day of shopping. On Saturday it has a great market (just don't sit on the terrace on the side where the fish stand was...)
