Since I'm not the biggest modern art fan, visiting a museum with a special exhibit with modern artists. But the local exhibits are great and they have some interesting permanent pieces. I could not find any information on the building and its history, though, while it is quite an old building with interesting features. Also, they do not have a... More

Temporary exhibition gives an overview of the city history and you can request English leaflet from the ticket counter. Temporary exhibitions don't have any translations available though. It's worth visiting to understand the city history a little bit better.

The Museum Flehite is not the most exciting place to visit for families. They have a quest for children which is very nice but the museum as a whole doesn't breathe vibrance. It is more for people of age

The museum must realize that some of its patrons are non-Dutch speakers, making it helpful to have posters and placards in at least one or two foreign languages as well, preferably English, German and French. The museum is not big and then the price for what you get seems high-ish (13 euro's including a 3 euro 'surcharge' for whatever reason).

The guide I read promised me an art museum, yes there are some few paintings but the high light is the history section showing many sceletons and how the city developed

Nice stroll through an orderly, clean and easy access museum. However none of the exhibits had any other language description than Dutch. Big shame. A lot of art exhibits from local painter and some interesting town history. A bit pricey for the quality @ 12 eur.

The museum was okay. I thought it would have more information about the old city of Amersfoort, but there wasn't much about the city in the exhibits. The movie about the town gave much more of an overview of the history of the city. However, if you are an English-only speaker, this is not a good place to go. The... More

The many (narrow) floors of he museum display various exhibitions, of which many change all the time. The building is interesting in its own right, close to the historical hall of the city and an excellent stop on an easy stroll through the old city. Koppelpoort and t' Zand (good music and photography exhibitions in the Aegten kapel!!) very nearby... More

This museum is part of the old city of Amersfoort. It's located in three old and historic buildings. I watched the Cobra to Zero exhibition. Nice paintings of the Dutch couple Roetgering. You could also watch a part of the exhibition in the Mondriaanhouse. It's worth to go to this museum.
