Had expected more from this particularly bearing in mind the high entrance fee. (Note uk credit and debit cards could not be used so you need cash.) Not enough local history, plus lack of English translation for most of the exhibits (or indeed subtitles on...More

Enjoyed the visit to this very interesting museum mainly to learn more about the history of Amersfoort. The other exhibitions being held were a bonus.

A really interesting small town museum with an above-average art collection of Dutch artists' works. Displays of local history are also very good especially World War Two. All housed in an interesting building on a canal of architectural interest in its own right.

Temporary exhibition gives an overview of the city history and you can request English leaflet from the ticket counter. Temporary exhibitions don't have any translations available though. It's worth visiting to understand the city history a little bit better.

The Museum Flehite is not the most exciting place to visit for families. They have a quest for children which is very nice but the museum as a whole doesn't breathe vibrance. It is more for people of age

The museum must realize that some of its patrons are non-Dutch speakers, making it helpful to have posters and placards in at least one or two foreign languages as well, preferably English, German and French. The museum is not big and then the price for...More

The guide I read promised me an art museum, yes there are some few paintings but the high light is the history section showing many sceletons and how the city developed
