Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement. First off, not their fault, but Google Maps shows another company across the bay. We were traveling from Alkmaar to Cologne and this seemed like a quick aide trip. If you go, park in first public lot with buses. It is next door.

Really cool stop to see the clogs made from scratch start to finish. Very cool craftsmen work and machinery. Love trying on the shoes ourselves. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

This was one of those things I just had to see when visiting the Netherlands. As a child the story of “Holland” and clogs was what you heard about. Seeing them was a must! I was intrigued by how they were made and why they were worn. The shop answered all those questions and more.... this is a must do! Kudos to the very helpful staff.

The local artisans give a live demo of how wooden shoes know as clogs are made out of a wood log till it is ready to use. A very nice display and souvenir and merchandise for sale to take along wonderful memories.

Found this really interesting it’s the clogg factory, they show you a demonstration on how the clogg date made and why etc. Then you enter the shop and pick and choice if you want a pair of Dutch clogg lol

Went together as a group of 4 ladies from Singapore, touring the North.

The introduction was interestingly conducted with great humor, giving us an insight of the history and making of clogs in the Netherlands. Traditionally, all clogs were manually made and crafted from scratch but now clogs are machine-made which made the task easier & simpler.

In the shop, there are many different types of clogs including souvenirs. I chose to buy the slip on clogs with leather which is more versatile and practical. Of course, authentically made in Holland. Back home since returning from my holiday, I have worn the clogs during weekends and even on flight. They are super comfy and keep my sweaty feet dry.

Overall, we had a great time at this place.

This tour included a visit to the cheese factory, the wooden shoe factory and of course the windmills. The windmills and the little houses were spectacular... loved it. The wooden shoe factory, it took five minutes to show us how to make the shoe using high tech.. the cheese factory was a 5 minute tabletop presentation...
The windmills were worth the trip...but the others.. not so much. It rained all the time but that did not take away from the lovely views.

Attended the wooden shoe making demonstration and loved it! The host was extremely funny and kept the audience entertained with the history of wooden shoes and how they're still worn today. There's also a large shop located on site...perfect for the wooden shoe one-stop shopping experience. Their prices are comparable to other locations.

This truly is a ”cottage industry” demonstration for the general tourist trade. We sat in a factory for single clog making and the operator was fairly good at demonstrating and explaining the process in English and another language for our tour group. It was fun to see the machines operate. There is a small store attached where clogs and other items are made available.

We had a very informative tour of the three small Dutch villages. I liked the little cheese store and demonstration. The villages are so charming and quaint. We had lunch at a great fish restaurant. This was the best fried fish I have ever had.

Even though the weather was bad, the day was great.
