The bunker museum is situated in the dunes close by the harbour. The main bunker was closed for renovations but you can have a close look at the bunkers nearby which are worth a visit. You can even go inside. A shame that the bunkers...More

There is a museum on site, however, it has very limited hours of operation. There are several bunkers along a walking path for viewing. The bunkers are open to public

We had spare time before catching the ferry so decided to visit the bunker museum. The bunkers are only 10 minutes away from the ferry port by car. A large paid car parking area is close to the bunkers. The car park can also be...More

When we visited museum was closed but the bunkers are open and you can wander round. Definitely worth seeing. Museum opening is very limited as it is run by volunteers but don’t let this put you off visiting.

I great stop for World War II history buffs. No English signage, but well worth the stop. Able to crawling on and inside bunkers.

First of all, take a few hours. There is a cracking museum and a nice walk (led by very able volunteers) past the bunkers. There is alot of information to absorb. The beach used to be closer by, that alone is interesting to see how...More

It would be much better if the museum was open every day instead of twice per month. Otherwise you end up wandering around bunkers that all half-closed and full of trash.

Incredible fortifications and exhibits. Lots of artifacts and memorabilia. Staffed and excavated by knowledgeable and friendly volunteers. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate outerwear as you are on the Atlantic Wall !

The area is full of World War 2 history. Not much to see but worth the price of admission. Views and landscape are cool.

Remnants of some of the more northward stretches of Hitler's Atalntikwall - well worth the tour, or exploring by yourself.

This is no where near Ijmuiden unfortunately as it is well worth a visit. It is in Germany. It is free to go in. An interesting place to visit if you have a few hours before your ferry is the maritime museum in Ijmuiden. It... More
