First of all, I would recommend seeing this Cathedral first on your trip to Haarlem, then see the St. Bavo near the Grote Market. Very different on the interiors. The only reason I enjoyed St Bavo at the Grote Market more was the fact it...More

The first sight of this building is definitely a "wow' moment. Simply the scale of it. It is an amazing structure and a puzzling one. There are echoes of so many other architectural styles that the structure has no identity of it's own; it is...More

Well worth visiting and paying the 2.5 Euro entrance fee. Fascinating history and very impressive building. The organ is well worth listening to if you can. It's nearly 30M tall and has over 5000 pipes!

Quite an imposing Cathedral which dominates the skyline in Haarlem. Take your time to wander around the exterior and appreciate the architecture, before walking inside to appreciate the interior. Not a crowded place to visit, so you can reflect and appreciate what you are seeing....More

A beautiful and musically historic cathedral in Haarlem, well worth the day-journey fro Amsterdam. Beautiful bells, a world class-historic pipe organ.

We attended a special service just before Good Friday. It was a beautiful experience I won't ever forget. The sound of the singing and the voices carrying in that building is otherworldly. A beautiful place.

Went to visit the Cathedral, you have to pay an entrance fee but you get an audio tour with it and the children are free. It's an amazing cathedral that's been completely renovated and also very quiet so you can really enjoy it without the...More

Went to this church and was impressed by the fact that photos were permitted. This is a beautiful building and amazing to think this construction was so old. The church is not overly ornate but very pleasant to observe. Worth a visit.

A beautiful cathedral. It seems as if there were many buildings together side by side, but it is simply the shape of its chapels and domes. In the interior the whole structure is impressive, formed with bricks and the impressive organ of almost 30 meters...More

WE stopped in hear as we were walking around Haarlem. Cool cathedral, it doesn't compare to a lot of the cathedrals in Germany or England but still has impressive features. The pipe organ was amazing and was playing Mozart which is impressive since Mozart played...More
