It was pretty, but another activity was going on when we visited and there were a lot of things lying about for the performances. It didn't have the tranquility that I imagine it would have under other circumstances. It's right in the town square and...More

On entering the plaza, you are struck but the sheer size of the church. I ventured in paying the 2.50 Euro entrance fee. Fortunately, there weren’t many people inside so I meandered around the church quietly and slowly taking in its ambience and immense history....More

This church dominates the Grote Markt. Finished in 1538 after a build of 150 years, the towering beauty of the nave and the simplicity of the white walls takes the breath away. The floor of the church consists entirely of old gravestones - some from...More

Definitely worth the €2.50 for adults (children free). When the organs are playing the experience is pretty amazing. You can imagine the 10 year old Mozart playing here on the this spectacular organ. This fact really make the visit worth it if you’re visiting Haarlem.

Entrance to this church is 2.50; via the shop. As you enter there are restrooms in the right; which is very convenient. When I visited around 11:30ish, the “orrelis” was practicing- the church was filled with beautiful organ music- a real treat. I would recommend...More

The entrance fee is 2,50 eu but if you go on a Sat. afternoon around 13:30, you might get lucky and hear an organ concert on the organ played by Mozart (age 10) and Handle! What a beautiful church!

Entering the church is €2.50 a person, which you can pay at the desk at the entrance. You won't have to pay extra to see the concert.
