The staff was what made this tour unpleasant. The lady working the till was curt, but hey, if the rest of the tour had been good, I would have forgotten that. First I was placed with the Dutch tour even though I was told it...More

I wanted to check out a windmill and I’m so glad we landed on this one! The staff is friendly here, albeit some members are a smidge quirky in the best ways. The tour is not for young children as there is a LOT of...More

A short walk from central Haarlem is this beautiful windmill and it's worth timing your visit for the tour. There were lots of ladders to get to the top (sensible shoes recommended) but the view is amazing and our guide provided an excellent insight into...More

Took a guided tour around the windmill, very knowledgable guide who had strong Dutch accent but no problem. Very reasonable price and consists of five floors, talk given on each floor with any questions that you have accepted. Only thing to note the stairs between...More

We didn't go inside as we had just come from Zaanse Schans, however this is a beautiful structure worth to walk by and take a picture of.

We found this tour fascinating! Our guide was a former history teacher and he was wonderful. This history is this specific windmill as well as windmills in general was provided. We even met the Miller and the apprentice. Haarlem is Amsterdam without the crowds. Charming.

I went to see this windmill with my Dutch friend, we both found the tour amusing and informative. On each floor you learnt something new about this windmill in particular, but also about other types of mills and other windmills. The tourguide made the tour...More

Excellent guide. Fascinating details about this and other windmills, of which there were, to our surprise, quite a variety. The steps were manageable for 2 moderately agile mid-60s!

This windmill is an exact replica of an old one (1700's) on the same site as the original that burned down in 1932. As a result, it is safe to actually climb in this windmill. Inexpensive tours are given by volunteers and at each level,...More
