This beautiful little church is tucked away in a courtyard near to a bookshop on the corner of a road (where I popped in to ask for directions). I visited this church with the purpose of seeing a choral presentation given by an English school choir. The children gave an absolutely delightful performance, accompanied by a very able pianist and... More

We were wished warmly welcome to this church by some volunteers when we visited. And the church provided a written guide in several languages. The building welcoming and friendly. The sanctuary is open and gives a feeling of a living church. Definitely a place to visit when you are in Amsterdam. In many churches in Amsterdam you have to pay... More

One of the interesting things you can see at Begijnhof is the English Reformed Church (Engelse Kerk) located across from the Begijnhof Chapel. Church service schedule can be found on the church website, for those interested in attending an English language service. I'm not sure if the church is normally open for general visitation, like the Catholic chapel on the... More

I have visited this church many times - almost every time I've been in the Netherlands. The large multi-national English speaking congregation are very welcoming and live up to their motto "Within these walls let no one be a stranger". The church has a strong preaching tradition and relatively recently has also developed an excellent musical tradition. The style of... More

It's located just next to Begijnhof, a beautiful garden in the busy Amsterdam down town. The lady at the entrance is very helpful by introducing the history of the church. It's worth going there to enjoy some peace in mind when you're walking in A'dam.

Our family finally got there for the Easter Monday service. Even though the service was in Dutch, it was spectacular to have been within the walls of the church listening and participating in the mass. Inside is amazing - so much detail. Absolutely beautiful.

We visited here on a Sunday on a walking tour to see the pulpit. The panels were designed by the artist Mondriaan. The service had finished but the atmosphere was lively and it looked as if the church was well attended

We visited this church with Marius of Free walking Tours Amsterdam and he brought us here to see the the pulpit decorated with a set of carved panels designed by Piet Mondriaan which were very interesting. The service had just finished and the atmosphere in the church was lovely.

Unfortunatelly, it was closed, so we saw it only from the courtyard. But the whole place is very nice. It worth to visit.
