I’d rather be on the canals than walking but sometimes a walk is ok. We did go for a walk here after a canal cruise. It was a pretty decent stroll.

This is a very pretty square with huge leafy trees in the summer, surrounded by cafes and restaurants with lots of terrace seating. Big statue at one end.

Thorbeckeplein is directly adjacent to Rembrandtplein. As a result, all of the Rembrandtplein pubs and eateries and people are accessible to Thorbeckeplein as well. You can sit at the southern end and enjoy a view of the canal.
