A friend encouraged me to do this trip and I am so glad I did. Fons was interesting, informative, witty and was happy to answer any question put to him. Was sad when the trip was over - would have done it all over again....More

Small boat of 12 made this far more pleasant and intimate. A spectacularly beautiful day helped. 75 mins was the perfect length of time. So relaxing. A great way to see Amsterdam from another perspective. Ask for Marco. He makes the whole experience incredibly calming.

The Open Boat Tour is really excellent to have a rida through Amsterdam, see its landmarks and learn its history. Our guide Baart was great. Very knowledgeable and really fun.

We chose the open boat tour to avoid the crowds and also being able to get to the smaller canals. The extra money paid compared to other bigger boats was worth every single penny. On top of that our guide / captain was really informative,...More

The day was beautiful, the weather was perfect, our captain Faried was funny, knowledgeable and made us feel at home during the trip. A small boat is perfect to have a more intimate feel of the trip. Highly recommended.

To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the
Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its

view some of the city’s most picturesque canals,
historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples
of traditional local architecture – not to mention
Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist
temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some

Hello Martin - The tour we took was an open boat with approximately 12 passengers. The guide was excellent as was the tour. Not sure about any private tours. Enjoy Amsterdam!
