Our houseboat was right down from the market so we didn't have to go far to find it. It is a typical dutch market with lots of fresh cheese, bread, fish and even mushrooms. There were also clothes and artisanal products. If you are in...More

Worth a look if you are in the area. We went on a Monday. There was a flea market, clothes, veg, material and much more.

So much delicious food. Just had a couple of wild oysters, some fresh olive bread and tzatziki to nibble on whilst looking at some great market stalls. What a treat.

We went on the Saturday—lots of nice stalls, relaxed atmosphere. Possible to get breakfast, as well as go vintage shopping, pick up some nice fruits and vegetables, and hangout. Would go back!

A mix of market traders clothes / home ware / second hand and seafood (which was delicious! ) No real gems. Husband picked up some vinyl. Still, a good hour of your time spent hoping for that amazing trinket or outrageous jacket!

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

No it is open on Mondays as well, all year long. You can decorate and furnished your house. for very little money, and bartering is a must.
