A Real Irish Pub in Amsterdam
We went there to hear the Irish Music session on Sunday evenings. The bar was (given it was Sunday evening) crowded and cheery. We fortunately found seats but there were none near the music. The atmosphere was nice though, and authentic. They have a good selection of drinks, and Guinness on tap. The owners are Irish and it felt similar to Irish pubs we've been to.

    Genuine Irish atmosphere
Last November Mulligan’s turned 35. With the new owner in charge it’s still business as usual at Mulligan’s: music sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays. Even the barman is still in place. The shelves behind the bar display just a few Irish whiskeys. Why not fill up the wall? My Guinness is perfect though. Great place.

Beautiful Irish pub great staff so friendly, polite and attentive. Music wow great atmosphere definitely the best Irish pub in Amsterdam and being Irish believe me I've been to them all. Over the past 30 years when I lived here for 2 and a half years it's still the best place to go. Lynn 💚🤍🧡

    Amazing
Went to Amsterdam beginning of September with my partner. Did a canal cruise... my partner saw this lovely Irish pub where she did have lots of good memories 30 years ago. Next day, of course we had to go there. Very welcoming staff "Brian" when we get there in the afternoon on a Thursday 5th. Brian was very helpful as my partner wanted a Mulligans 's T-shirt and finally we've got them 🤣 The day after we went there to listen music... JUST BRILLIANT 😀😀😀 Everyone was friendly and we definitely had wonderful time. Don't miss it. ❤️❤️❤️

After 33 years I went to Mulligans again. I was so excited to be at the bar where I used to go as a student with my Irish friends and have fun. I went with my sister and niece.

The Malin were playing music. We enjoyed listening to them until the brake. One of the musicians came to tell us that if we don't have another drink then we should leave because people would want to sit on our table. When I said that we had two drinks each, he answered "Yeah, but you've been sitting there for ages!". Are all musicians of the bar so rude? We left totally disgusted. They should be ashamed.

Good Irish Bar in Amsterdam. Not large but has plenty of seating on several levels. The barman was a great host and is a good source of information about Amsterdam. Prices reasonable with a good selection of drinks. Can't wait to go back when live music is played (usually after 9pm).

Stopped here on two occasions for a few drinks. It is very close to the Rembrandtplein square. Great crowd with live music on many nights. Bar staff extremely friendly and accommodating. A great pub stop for a Pint or two if your in the area.

Really great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Loved the fact the bar man let you try a few of the drinks before buying.
The vibe was great.
Singer was on so there was a great atmosphere.
Only a really small pub so got very busy , but this added to the mood and atmosphere.

Would have to agree with the review previous to this one. You would forget where you were.. was a real taste of home. Especially with Sean the Irish bar man. Great craic and storys from him. Being able to get a pack of Tayto and bacon fries was just perfect. And a nice pint of bulmers! Great music the 2 nights we visited also.

I recently visited mulligans while in Amsterdam , I ordered a bottle of corona and to my surprise there was blood all over the middle of the bottle, thinking it was my blood I checked my hands to make sure it wasn't me , without being apologetic or offering my money back another drink was opened and put in front of me , once again there was blood on the top of the bottle where you drink from. The only reassurance that I got was that "the blood was probably belonged to one of his colleagues and not his own" he then took a third bottle from the fridge which also had blood on it and proceeded to wash it under the the tap and joke "ahh there's no blood on this one" . Another appalled customer at the bar then made comment should I not get my money back this made the bar man almost dive to the other end of the bar so he didn't have to give my money back. Meanwhile the barman was stacking the bloody bottles back into the fridge. Plenty of Irish pubs around Amsterdam, spend your money somewhere else.

When you visit some European cities you'll find so called Irish bars which simply have a guinness sign and Irish flag outside, and decorated inside to what an Irish bar might look like.but that's where the Irish experience stops! Mulligans on the other hand is different. You'll get a genuine Irish experience and welcome here.dont come here looking for food.like all great irish pubs, Mulligans is about making friends, great music and good quality drink (make sure to try the guinness).finally the staff were fantastic. Thanks to Lloyd, Sean and Max for an enjoyable weekend.
