The House with the Heads as an Embassy of the Free Mind. The Embassy of the Free Mind is a new international platform that harnesses spirituality, science, art, culture, music and storytelling to promote and share free thought. Located in the majestic 17th-century House with the Heads on Amsterdam’s Keizersgracht, the Embassy combines a range of functions: knowledge centre, international meeting place, study room, cafe and a living room of Amsterdam. The project is an initiative of The Worldheart Foundation. The Embassy of the Free Mind is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am to 5pm and offers a versatile programme that includes museum experience tours, talks, debates, lectures, concerts and conferences.

Our Boatman pointed out and explained the history behind these heads during our boat tour. Legend says that the heads belong to the robbers caught by the maid. This attraction is unique and different! The only one we saw that has heads as facade decorations.

One of the best building I was during my Canal Tour. Houses in Amsterdam are always artistically great and well made, and the House with Heads is a perfect example.

You can see it from the canal. Very interesting architecture. If you don't go on a canal tour, try to take photos from the other side of the canal.
