This was a lucky find! The food court on the top floor of this upscale department store is a great meeting place for food and drink after sightseeing. The outdoor patio offers nice view and free wifi to enjoy a drink and/or meal. Plus there...More

Truly high end shopping, not so many discounts (probably not that time of the year). The cafe on the top floor was really nice, with helpful staff and good coffee and pastries. Worth a visit, and if the price is right you might even do...More

Shopping department was ok although there was nobody to serve me in the area of the shoes I wanted. I was told to take them to another section. Minor inconvenience. The food department on the top floor however was a terrible experience from the start....More

Over many many years this has been THE dept. store for the people of Amsterdam, but now it is a beatifull but unatainable jewel. It is good to look at though. It has unfortunatly gone so far upmarket, with many high end designer labels ordinary...More

There were sales when I was there in June 2017. There is a in-house VAT counter. You can claim VAT, with a minimum purchase of €50. Nearby Magna Mall is not recommended because too few stores there.

A nice mall right across the Dam square. You can find all the high-end designers and products in this mall, everything from beauty products to clothes and luggage.

This is no Harrods in size or variety, but it has a good number of high end designers and a lovely restaurant on the 5th floor offering a great variety of quality food. If you have an IAmsterdam card and take it to Customer Services...More

To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the
Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its

historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples
of traditional local architecture – not to mention
