This museum is a gem! The pipe collection is from a life long pipe collector in his own house, donated after his passing. The artwork and unique pieces are an interesting history lesson, especially when shared by the dedicated and engaging interpreters at this site....More

You are quite right, besides the museum section with 2,500 pipes from all over the world, we have an extensive offer of old and new smoking pipes in our museum shop. Both the regular briar pipes (in wood) and - our speciality - ceramic pipes...More

Charming little place with a collection of pipes from various parts of the world. Without a guided tour (which you get for the ticket price) it would be a very short stop here. However, with the story behind it, it gets very interesting. You can...More

Thanks for the compliment. In fact, the Rijksmuseum is only 450 meters away; more of the thousands of visitors in the Rijksmuseum should come over and visit us.

The private collection of pipes is impressive, but it's only worth seeing if you want to fill an hour or so and have the "I Amsterdam" card; it was not worth the $10 Euros to see the private collection, nor to make it a destination...More

If you're interested in the history of pipes, this is the place to go. For a nominal fee, you get a personal tour of the pipes (really cannot browse and learn anything as there is no signage). And they have a nice selection of pipes...More

Sure, our museum shop has an amazing offer on pipes, both modern ones in briar, meerschaum or ceramic (a Dutch speciality) and antiquities in the field of smoking and tobacco. You'll be amazed to see our store.
