We went there on a Monday afternoon and some of the stalls were closed. Albert Cuypstraat was very quiet and the market atmosphere just wasn’t there. The sundry products and food produce sold were not of particular interest to us. By all means visit the...More

One of the biggest markets I’ve ever been to, the market stretches down one huge road and is out the way of Amsterdam centre but is defiantly worth the trip!! Filled with a range of delicious fresh foods from across the world including Dutch favourites!

Lovely market outside market that is positioned outside of businesses. Mostly fresh fruit, veggies, and meats. I don't think I got bargains, but I like the Turkish good I obtained.

Mainly we went to this market for trying the typical Dutch hering. We found a nice place where we ate hering, fried shrimps and crabsalad. The price was more than “friendly”. We also bought some souvenirs. Typical market where they let you bargain. Worth taking...More

We had heard of this place for the waffles, and it was pretty much the only reason we went. We ended up really enjoying everything about this place. The whole feel of the market was great, bustling. I ended up spending very little money and...More

I was there about 11 a.m. and the market was probably just getting started. There weren’t many customers. With vendors lining a street of about 300-400 metres in length, it makes for a pleasant stroll. The merchandise is quite varied, from cheap clothes to souvenirs...More

Amsterdam can be expensive but here you can get a great variety of things at bargain price. Seems like lots of local people shop there (fresh produce etc). There are some really good food stalls, one of them were giving out free chicken wings, and...More

After being able to walk around the market for an hour, I must say that it's a must-see. It's a shame I couldn't wander around longer. I could spend hours just eating my way through the market, through countless stroopwaffels and with some of the...More

Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag
through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp

many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic
thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in
search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly
half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners

We took a taxi from port to the market. I believe it was approximately 10 minute taxi ride. It was well worth it. We tried several local foods at the market. We also walked past Starbucks to find a patio to have a beer and... More
