So glad we stumbled across this quaint little market on our first day. It’s the length of a full street and sold everything from clothes, fresh fruit, souvenirs to homemade waffles. A lot cheaper than the city centre and definitely a lot cheaper to buy...More

This long open-air street market does not offer any different than an ordinary cheap shopping. We could not find anything authentic. Lots of street foods but nothing really special. Street looks colorful and attractive. If you have extra time, about 2-3 hours, you may visit...More

The market cos sista of several blocks of vendors selling a broad spectrum of goods to tourists. There are a number of food vendors. We were able to try stoop waffles and drives. Not a bad hour.

We enjoyed visiting this market. It had a great variety of vendors: clothing, fruits/vegetables, souvenirs, flowers, and local food. A couple of local foods that were really tasty: Poffertjes, and stroopwafel. This market is wheelchair accessible. The street is flat with very little elevation changes.

This may look like ”just another market” but it’s not! Besides of all the souvenirs and knick-knacks it offers the best stroopwafels from Goudse and the delicate traditional herring. It’s so worth a visit and you have to try the food mentioned!

After I went to the Heineken beer tour, I walked around a nearby region within Amsterdam and attended the market here, it is amazing, feels traditional compared to modern-day conveniences of shopping: bought a lot of souvenirs here and had Dutch-style chicken with spices. I...More

By tram n.5 from central station which is pretty close where the river cruise vessels are. I would include it in a proper private tour of the town visiting the market, the rijkmusesum and the vangogh museum

I think you can walk there. Amsterdam is a wonderful city to walk around in. Every time you turn a corner there's another view of a canal. My wife and I (we're 76) walked further than you'll have to walk and it was an easy... More
