Whenever we are in Amsterdam we don't miss the Albert Cuyp Market. It's easy to reach by public transportation. Famous for fresh fish. Offers a rich choice of vendors of cut flowers and fresh fruits. A pleasure for your daily walking workout. Fair pricing.

My husband and I really enjoy this market. We went during lunch time during the week and it wasn't really busy. Nice place to try dutch food such as the "Raw herring", "Kibbeling" and "Stroopwafel" and buy some souvenirs.

I recommend walking through and grabbing lunch there. The prices for street food are reasonable. The locals go there. It is not far from the Rijksmuseum and Heineken.

I love to go go markets in different countries- I love the Asian Markets - Hong Kong, Chiang Mai, etc... I also love the Royal Melbourne, and the Borough Market in London. This is more of a street fair at home- mediocre selection, and some,...More

Ripped off at a cheese vendor booth. Store is labeled Haagsche Kaas on my credit card receipt. The two men at this booth suggested I buy a larger pack of varieties of Gouda, each cheese wheel sealed in a different color of wax. They wrapped...More

Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag
through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp
Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s
many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic
thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in
search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly
half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners
and a good number of them are students. Here you'll

Don't remember seeing any at the Albert Cuyp market. There is quite a good selection at the flower market (bloemenmarkt) at singel street. Don't be tempted to buy at the first place you see. It doesn't take long to go... More
