I really wanted to take a trip on one of their boats now it seems I cant and theirs me thinking that the Dutch were a pragmatic lot. So I live and learn. I hope that the authorities come to their senses soon

Well apparently they did loose the legal battle and do have to run the boats as a business now. It's 15 euro, you get a ticket and the boat is a lot bigger. The tour was still better than your standard canal tour though, not...More

I visited Amsterdam in April. I tracked down Saint Nicholas to a bike shop who informed that they had to shut down due to some issues with the government.
