Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very important historical building in Netherlands. The building served as the headquarters of the East India Company. Very huge building and looks like red fort from far.

The old headquarters of the Dutch East India Company, now a part of the UvA (University of Amsterdam). The gateway opens up to an inner courtyard with elegant facades in the Amsterdam Renaissance style. Nowadays, you can relax in the peaceful courtyard or stroll through the corridors and admire the numerous paintings. It's also open later than most places so is an option after the habitual 5pm kicking out time from museums. It's open Monday / Thursday: 9:00 to 19:30 pm and Friday: 9:00 to 17:00 pm

There are a few houses or buildings in the downtown area that look like this. They all look really good and unique. They stand out among all the other buildings that surround them. The Magna Plaza is also very similar to this building.

The East India House used to function as headquarters of the East India company. It is now owned by the University of Amsterdam and a national monument. Pretty courtyard.

The imposing red brick facade of this seat of learning is very impressive and the architecture sets it aside from other buildings in Amsterdam

The impressive red-brick facade, with its ornate entrance and stone-dressed
windows, was the height of corporate fashion. Headquarters of the once mighty Dutch East India Company, it was built in 1605, probably by Hendrick de Keyser, and is now part of Amsterdam University. The 17th-century meeting room has been restored.

This large, historic old building was once the headquarters of the Dutch East India Company, one of the pillars of capitalism, and is now a part of the University of Amsterdam. I always enjoy seeing old historic structures being put to modern uses rather than torn down and replaced.
