Restaurants of all descriptions - Thai, Chinese, Argentine steakhouses, Burger joints and local cuisine. Waffle and ice cream parlours. Numerous pubs and bars. Good outdoor vibe without any hassle.

This is a great area - by day there are markets and lots of touristy landmarks to see, by night you've got restaurants, cafes, bars all open till really late with people flowing out onto the streets. People chatting, dancing to music, meeting up and...More

The open market was considered as part of China Town with many restaurants, shops and cafes around. Open markets opened daily and particularly during weekends. A nice place to stroll around to experience what the Asians did during normal hours.

We had a 2nd floor apartment above the square. It is festive and quite loud if your room is right above it. There was a large market in the square on the Sunday of our arrival. It's a good place to people watch from one...More

Red Light District (De Wallen)

historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples
of traditional local architecture – not to mention
Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist
temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some
