Good to see in live form

Went there for a short stay (2 hours) and was it very interesting to see in live form. Only downside was,the amount of tourists that is at the place,as it does very crowded.

We were told by several people that there is an old windmill next to the Amstelpark. One day we went to explore. If you exit the park through the back, you will walk right into it. It was sunset and the sky was beautifully colored. The windmill is very close to the river and there is a bright display of... More

Had to see a windmill while in the Netherlands, this was within walking distance from my hotel and next to a really nice park. Very glad I took the time to walk over.

Netherlands is always associated with Tulips & Windmills. Seeing a windmill in reality was a new an amazing experience. Was able to see at close hand how the windmill works.Which was fascinating. It was lovely taking photographs for memories of this wonderful experience. Well worth a visit.

I visited the mill this spring. I think Spring is my favourite season because Mother Nature looks most beautiful in this season. In the case of Rieker windmill, Narcissus flowers that grew around it were the perfect natural “make-up” for the mill. This time, late summer, I went to the mill again. I was surprised and excited with the view.... More

Shows the working of a windmill, how the windmiller lived, room layout, furniture etc. Able to go up inside windmill and onto outer deck. Brilliant, well worth the small entrance fee

One of the 945 windmills remaining in the Netherlands, from what used to be a solid 10,000+. Located in the company of Rembrandt, who is posing as projecting, the way he is remembered often, it is an excellent stop during a bike ride to Amstelpark.

This hidden (not exactly hidden, but it was unexpected) gem was amazing. The windmill house and pond area was stellar. The beauty of it was incredible. What really was fun, after the windmill, was the gorgeous garden next to it, that is owned by the nearby school, and the old Town just a few feet away. We walked through the... More

We stopped off here on the way to our river cruise only briefly. It was a shame as we were literally only given 10mins to take photos and never knew about the statue on the other side until the bus left and drove past it! Bad on the part of the tour operator and we didn't get the chance to... More
