Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This park is great! We visited Amsterdam with our 7 year old son, and we saw a lot of history and culture. It was good to go to Amstelpark on a warm day and do all the little kid things. We biked to and through the park. We splashed in the big wadding pool, rode the small train through the park, tried to go to the petting zoo but it closes at 3pm (but we still saw some animals), my son played in the playgrounds, and rode on the little rides. He was so happy. (I would say 7 or 8 years old would be the oldest ages that would really enjoy this. Ideal for 3-6 year olds).

Visited this park a few times as I was staying nearby hotel, very nice park to just walk around with plenty of featured areas. No too crowded, clean and quiet park, they even have some small animals. Probably just 10min walks from RAI station.

I love this park because it's so diverse has loads of things to offer and fits for friends picnic, children playdate and most importantly it's really a hidden gem since it's never crowded! (besides festivals)
Park has a little zoo with animals like Kangaroos, Alpacas, Ponies, Rabbits.. There's an area for kids to lose wild and play with others, they also had Piano! Where time to time you will find strangers playing and sharing music with park visitors! Of course, minigolf is worth to mention as it's not overpriced and fun activity with friends. Park has two cafes and a wonderful fountain the small lake. I highly recommend visiting the park! P.S locked during nights.

This is the only 5 I am giving in Amsterdam; I really liked our free afternoon in Amstelpark. We caught tram 4 from Dam Square; it is the last stop (about 30 minutes) then just a short walk and cross the road for the park. Flat with walkways, two superb playparks just inside past the toilets and restaurants. And a few "I amstelpark" photo opportunities. Fantastic for children who have been patiently visiting churches and museums in the city centre - especially on a sunny day. Not crowded, and big enough to give space in the summer too. Ponds and fountains. Wonderful trees of many shapes. Lots of sculptures. Great animals - chickens, turkey, Sheltand ponies, goats, sheep at the other side, wallabies and lamas in the middle. Loved it here. Then the best bit is walking right the way through to see the windmill. So glad we visited Amstelpark.

I loved this park. I ran around it every evening whilst I was in Amsterdam (1 week). I loved the red dots on the track and the kilometres were marked out for me. I found this such a help. It was beautifully looked after and maintained. Awesome experience

With the nice weather, we went for a long bike ride along the Amstel and finished up at Amstelpark.
This is a large and very green park with so many different things to see and explore. There are more open and sculpted parts of the park, as well as forest and places to hide.
When we visited there was a big street food market which looked delicious and made us regret having already eaten lunch.
It was a lovely place to relax on a sunday afternoon.

This park is located slightly off the beaten path for tourists, which means it is not crowded most of the time. The park is really beautiful with many secluded areas, rhododendron garden, Japanese garden, wooden zoo, maze for kids to explore, several playgrounds, mini golf and a rail road with a mini train that kids enjoy to ride. It is very peaceful and quiet in the mornings (if you want to go for a run) and in the evenings (if you want to go for a walk). There are several areas where kangaroos, alpacas, birds, sheep and other animals live. Then there is a field with chairs randomly arranged for people to sit and relax. Lots of things to do and every time we came to the park we found something new and interesting to explore.

Always nice with a parkt to look at people and relax. Hopefulle you brought your roller blades or a bike - then it's even better. and in amsterdam there are not many but they are full with people who enjoy beeing out - so join and be like them.

Amstelpark is one of the liveliest most relaxing parks I have ever been in Europe. Everyone is smiling and all the shopkeepers around are very corteous. Come here in the middle of the afternoon to take photos. It's true what they say in danish paintings, the sun reflects differently on this part of the world. all my photos are vivid and colorful.

This is one of the best parks in Amsterdam, has a great variety of gardens, a big fountain, a lot of paths to discover, a cafe and is most of the time very quiet. Please check their agenda for festivals or events, then it’s a complete another atmosphere which I don't recommend if you like a peaceful space.

Waar vind je in het Amstelpark picknickbanken? Liefst op rustige plek
Written 7 August 2019
Bij de kleine dieren staan banken waar je rustig kunt zitten. Er zijn niet echt picknicktafels.
