We did this tour yesterday and it was excellent. Our tour guide "Little wheel" made this tour very interesting. She did a nice job explaining get what we were seeing. This is a 5 + hour tour and it stops at a cheese factory where we tasted many cheeses. VOLENDAM is where we had time for lunch and MARKEN is... More

The two female guides were so sweet and that is probably the best I can say about the tour. We took the countryside & windmills tour. You are packed in so tightly. I think the company offers small group tours for more money and would be worth the extra. It was the herding cattle tour. We stopped at Zaanse Schans,... More

This was one of the most memorable experiences ever. To start, the tour was fantastic, informative and entertaining but the icing on the cake really was our tour guide Edgar. This man is knowledgeable, multilingual, and intelligent, but his people skills and humor really stood out. We did the trip to the tulip gardens, and visited the windmills but will... More

Our guide Pieter on the Charm of Holland Tour was fantastic! He makes the most of every single minute on the tour; not one moment was wasted and he provides little detours to get a real feel for the villages we visited. Pieter was incredibly knowledgeable and made the trip a real learning experience. Pieter's dry sense of humor takes... More

Pros Well structured. Richard and the girls (Italian and Romanian) were really helpful and structured in organizing the tour. We went to Zanse Schans Volendam Marken and late in the afternnon to Keukenhof. It was a visual treat of Holland. Cons The vehicle hygiene is not well maintained. The tray table, seat back , flooring were slimy and dirty

This tour starts in the bus station over the canal opposite Central Train Station. We found two young men dressed in red tops who were very helpful. The bus arrived and we left at 10am prompt on a one hour tour of the City landmarks. We then continued again getting off at the Diamond Factory and Jewish Museum and back... More

I have visited many places around the world but with Amterdam I remained really astonished. One of the best cities. Beautyful, clean, well organized, with excellent streets, very few cars, many bicycles and of course many canals which during winter were just perfect (it is said that on summer smell awful). We visited many places around the center, many many... More

The tour was well organized and hit on key things that I wanted to see. It is a little fast moving and I wish I could have spent more time in Volendam looking in the stores. The one thing that made the tour great was our guide Astride. She was very helpful, friendly, funny and knowledgeable.

I liked the fact that I got to see 3 cities in one day, however I wish I had more time in Delft (this of course is a personal preference and will maybe vary from person to person). Rotterdam was my least favorite stop. It is not necessarily because of the city itself but what we did while there. The... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
