Modesty has no place at this highly respectable sauna, where you get down to the altogether in mixed company. Sauna Deco is a small spa in a unique place and with a unique interior. A place for people that know how to appreciate a sauna bath. Don't...more

We had just landed from our red eye flight and walked over to the Spa. For those not used to European spas, the facilities are coed. People don’t walk around hanging out, but if you’re really shy, this isn’t your place either. You pay an...More
Returning again to Amsterdam and spending an afternoon at Sauna Deco is a must do for us, the architecture of the Art Deco period is simply stunning, a small but intimate venue with 2 saunas, 1 x steam room, 1 x plunge pool, infra red...More
It was our first nude spa, and we did not feel uncomfortable at all. We did go in the evening when it was quieter. Definitely felt relaxed after using the sauna and steam rooms. It was the best massage we had (and had a few...More
Really need the sleep, hot saunas, steam bath, and excellent massage received here on a Saturday afternoon. Mature, well-run, a mix of ages and diverse population. Comfortable and beautiful. After a long week at a conference, and a morning at the Van Gogh Museum, this...More
It has two nice saunas and one steam room. There is a (very) cold water pool and showers. It is a nudist spa so people just uses a towel or robe to move from one place to the next one. Everyone is respectful and there...More
I've known this spa for 30 years and it is always a pleasure during my trips to Amsterdam to attend for a whole day of relaxation and wellness. Located at the very center of Amsterdam, it is a mixed nudist spa, in a sumptuous decor...More
What a relaxing place, nude spa with mixed changing but 100% not shady, which sadly I would imagine most UK visitors might expect. It’s into the changing rooms and strip down, towels supplied. Great way to relax and recover from the day before, this is...More
The building is so beautiful and great to look around!
The staff were amazing and food here was nice and fair priced for what it was!
The spa is a naked one and it was my first visit to a nude spar but it was...More
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.

Hi Osian12, in the saunas and steam rooms no swim wear is allowed, the change room and showers are coed, the place is stunning in its visual appeal that you will be overwhelmed to realise that you are naked. You can wear a bathrobe or towel when walking around or just relaxing in the lounge areas. Never have we felt uncomfortable, intimidated or harassed when visiting Sauna Deco, in fact quite the opposite we feel refreshed, it is a liberating experience one for which takes about 10 seconds to appreciate that it actually feels very natural, In Germany, Austria, Netherlands such sauna/spa facilities are all the same in that naked in the sauna/steam room are the norm, some such venues have hotels attached in Northern Europe it is “normal”. Usually minimum age of entry is 16 to allow for a calm and relaxing environment. So in essence in answer to your question “is it entirely naked”........only in the sauna/steam rooms, usually you walk into the sauna room/cabin and place your towel on the timber benches not allowing for any skin contact with the timber, in the steam room you would simply disrobe outside the room enter through the door and sit on the seating provided at this point you have very limited visibility due to the steam, you are not going to be seen that much through the steam. My advice is “just do it”.........you are not going to know anyone, and if you did they would be in the same position as yourselves. It’s most liberating and very natural! We plan our vacations in Europe always visiting a spa/sauna hotel resort such as this - often called (Therme/Thermen/Thermy/Spa/Sauna). If you require any more info please let me know, all the very best.
