What a wonderful museum if you love Van Gogh or want to learn more about him. The audio tour is very helpful and gives you a great deal of information. The museum was quite crowded but worth the visit.

I love Van Gogh's art so going to the museum seemed like an obvious choice for my time in Amsterdam. I didn't have to wait in much of a line, but that may just be because I was there around an hour before close. A...More

Great expectations for this museum but didn't live up to expectations. Van Gogh's style changed so frequently over the years one didn't sense coherence. Only a couple of the most famous paintings were here. Beware this review is by someone who'd spent 6 hours at...More

Booked the tickets in advance online, and wanted to go mainly to see the sunflowers, but this wasn't on display due to maintenance. The gallery should let customers know this before visiting!

Art fans can't resist the chance to see this museum. A well laid-out museum, bright and welcoming, well lit, with each floor representing a progression in the artists' life. Many of his lesser known works, but a good few of the well known ones too.

One can spend hours over hours in this museum. It is interesting and well organised- even though there are many, many people visiting it.

Van Gogh in all his glory. Could have stayed all day looking at his incredible work. Easy to walk the galleries with headphone commentary. Love his work.

We had booked online for a specific time. Otherwise the queues can be 2 hours long. I'm not sure about the Museumkaart.

No, but you have big museum store right by VG museum. If you need to go in a NEMO museum shop (perfect for children gifts) you can go without ticket.
