I visited Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam with my husband and, in spite of I like very much his work, I founded a lot of details that made my visit confusing. First: the museum was totally crowded despite there are different time zones to choose...More

The Van Gogh collection of art is something to be seen if you appreciate good art. His paintings represent his emotions and feelings as a mentally ill artist, the collection tell his story which again is very interesting and must see.

Although the museum is missing some of the more famous paintings, it gives a good background feeling of Van Gogh and was a really pleasant trip.

The actual space doesn't show Van Gogh's well. The lighting was poor making it difficult to view the paintings or to read the information. The museum could use an update.

Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part
of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh
Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed
museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you
